The same story was repeated at the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy when India had to depand on other teams to win. It may be recalled that in the last world cup the Indian team was in the same situation in the legaue round when it had to rely on other team. So, see the story now. After lossing its match against Pakistan, Indian team wished Pak to win against Australia. On the other hand, it had to win against West Indies on the same day with a huge margin so that it may come into account when required.
But in nut shell, Australia has to win but it did not happen and even registering a convincing win over West Indies, India had to pack its bag. India won the toss in this match and elected to field first. The decision was proved right and Indian bowlers, lead by Praveen Kumar and Ashis Nehra, packed WI in just 37 overs and the total was 129. In reply, Indian batsmen could not do well and manage to win the match within 32 overs at the loss of three wickets.
